Positive: The place is clean and well maintained, but overall, it wasn’t the experience we were looking for.

Negative: Although the hosts were kind and tried to make us feel welcome, it was quite uncomfortable to realize we were actually sharing the house with them. This was not clear from the description, and none of the reviews mentioned it. We also had to take off our shoes at the entrance, which added to the feeling that we were in someone’s private home rather than a guest accommodation. Finding the hosts in their own living space felt awkward and not what we expected from a B&B.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay and the breakfast cooked by Lynda was fantastic and beautifully presented. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great! A light up make-up mirror was a bonus and this was the only stop during our travels where a mirror had been placed in close proximity to an outlet (helpful when drying your hair). Scott and Lynda also gave us a recommendation for dinner nearby, The Caddy Shack, which was very good.

Negative: Spotty, mostly non-existent WiFi (might have been worse for us in the back bedroom). Would have liked the option to log into our own streaming service (like Netflix) but that wasn’t available at most of the places we stayed, so maybe not so common in Scotland/UK.
