Positive: The setting was really unique and the staff were lovely.. It was great to be far from the main.tourisr area of Amed. The room was really comfortable and the opportunity to order room service was really convenient.

Negative: It was sometimes difficult to get drivers to take you to the lodge pick up and drop off point and it was an extra expense as it was not possible to walk into town. Given that it was the wet season there appeared to be less drivers around

Negative: Quality of the food in the restaurant. The beef stroganoff was not good. Tough meat, the sauce was wrong. On the other hand breakfast was nice.

Positive: The place is beautiful and serene, and the individual bungalows were lovely. The view from the Lodge restaurant and pool is stunning, the sunsets incredible. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The lodge is very clean and comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The quality of customer service was really high.

Negative: We were supposed to have a sea view but you couldn't see much of it, we were on the side of construction so that was most of our view. The biggest downside was the food. Out of everywhere we stayed in Bali, the restaurant at this lodge has the most bland but expensive food. We were forced to eat here twice out of the 4 nights because we had been out all day and it's difficult to make the trip down with the shuttle more than once a day. We ordered from the Indonesian menu thinking it would be authentic and delicious, but it seemed to have been watered down for westerners taste which is disappointing because we love Balinese cuisine. Luckily on night 3 and 4 we went to the local warung across the road and had some of the best meals on the trip! There's only one warung across from the Lodge, and nothing else nearby (you have to take the shuttle down). The pool was beautiful however more umbrellas are needed when it's busy. It's not possible to sit under direct sunlight however there isn't enough shade when it's busy.. We found patrons just left there towels on the sun beds and "reserved it" for hours while they had lunch. That shouldn't be allowed, in order to give everyone a chance to use the pool / beds/ shade. It left us frustrated as my partner has a skin condition and couldn't sit by the pool on one of the days for this reason. The location is far from anything so you'll just have to be mindful that the shuttle comes hourly and takes 20 mins. One of the nights was very noisy on our side of the lodge as locals were having a party all day till late.

Positive: An easy and solid 5/5 for the unforgettable experience. The staff are exceptionally welcoming, and both dinner and breakfast were amazing. The room is comfortable, and the massage was great. The only minor issue was the bumpy ride during pickup, but the overall peacefulness and remoteness made my stay all worthwhile.
