Positive: We stayed for six nights at around €400 per night, and unfortunately, the value did not match the price. The property presents itself as a luxury farmstay, but the experience was not truly “luxury.” On the positive side, the location is excellent—very close to Otranto, making it easy to explore the beaches in the area. The staff were absolutely wonderful: attentive, warm, and always ready to help with recommendations, reservations, and anything we needed. The animals on the property—horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, and chickens—add charm and create a magical atmosphere, especially for families with children. We noticed that families with kids seemed to enjoy it a lot, as the children could freely explore and interact with the animals.

Negative: However, we found several aspects disappointing given the premium cost. Our room was directly beside the kitchen and dining area, which made it noisy and lacking in privacy. The bed was simply two singles pushed together and not very comfortable, and the bathroom design caused constant water overflow onto the floor. Small touches that you would expect at a luxury property were missing—such as mosquito nets or measures to deal with the many flies, which made it hard to relax. Pricing also felt excessive across the board. Dinner was €65 per person and while good, it didn’t compare to the quality we experienced at restaurants for the same or lower price. Cocktails and even small items like a beach towel (€65) were significantly more expensive than elsewhere. We stayed at other masserias in a similar price range, and the difference in value was striking—at those places, the meals, drinks, and details truly matched the premium cost, whereas here it often felt overpriced without the same level of quality. Overall, this masseria may be a wonderful fit for families with children who want a farm experience surrounded by animals, but for couples seeking a romantic or truly luxurious stay, it falls short. We left feeling that the location and staff were the real highlights, but the comfort, attention to detail, and value for money were not at the level we expected for the price.

Positive: The property was beautiful (farm-chic?) and just ten minutes from Otranto. What we loved: (1) The ANIMALS! I was in my happy place because of the chance to visit with cats, dogs, donkeys, goats, horses, and more. (2) The staff were very kind and welcoming, offering suggestions about what to do with our time in the area. Mercedes, one of the owners, popped in a few times to check-in, but otherwise left us to enjoy the property undisturbed. (3) The meals, which we opted to purchase, were made from farm and/or local produce and of high quality. The dinners were "comprehensive" and the breakfast was a "spread" to say the least. The chance for an aperitivo by the fireplace was also a nice touch. While some have reviewed the meal prices as a bit high, you definitely get what you pay for. (4) The room was large, clean, and bed very comfortable. (5) The heated indoor pool and sauna, which was especially relaxing after a day of touring. This is a place you come to treat yourself.

Negative: Nothing. It was all great.

Positive: This is the absolute perfect place to come and stay if you have young children. The horses, dogs, cats, ducks, rabbits, chickens and donkeys really made our stay with our 2 year old extra special. It's also a beautiful venue with a lovely pool and an amazing interior to relax in even if you didn't have children. The highlight for us were the dinners that they hosted every couple of nights - delicious food and it felt like being at a family home, chatting with people from all over the world.

Summary: This is one of the best places we have ever stayed on holiday!

Good sized pool and very helpful about where to visit Zeb’s restaurants to visit . Good breakfast and dinner if you decided to eat in .
