Positive: A true countryside manor amidst the family wine fields. Atop a hill surrounded by wine yards this tranquil place seems to be a must stop while touring Sicily. Rooms are well decorated in an Italian farmhouse style.

Positive: Costanza is very friendly and helpfull. We had a magnificent dinner and good breakfast! The beds are very comfortable and spacious. Overall very clean! There is even an anti-mosquitoe device. This is a heavenly place, ideal to start your Sicilian Tour out of busy Palermo (1/2hr distance).

Negative: Little remark: Maybe we have missed a shower (to refresh quickly) but we had a bath!

Positive: The Masseria Pernice has stunningly beautiful grounds, with calling birds and bougainvillea, total quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious. Our hostess tried to make us reservations at a restaurant for dinner. She also made breakfast for us an hour earlier than normal because of our flight times.

Negative: The mattresses were not as comfortable as we expected. The downside of being in the country is that it is a 20 minute drive to get to a restaurant.

Positive: Very quiet and secluded farmhouse in the mountains. Horses, dogs and birds roam about the property. Lovely pool out back with sunbeds and provided beach towels

Negative: The rooms are very rustic and need a little deep cleaning but were still comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was closed and we were only informed the day prior. Host arranged for reservation at a local pizzeria 15mins away which was good but not the experience we were expecting from an agriturismo.

Positive: This is my very first review. Masseria Pernice is an experience that is created with the loving attention of brother and sister, Paolo and Constanza. It is not just the beautifully inviting and lush environs of the property, but the personal attention and gracious hospitality one receives. The ambiance of breakfast poolside, the ‘old world’ comfort of the rooms, courtyards, in-buildings, out-buildings, gardens, and more feel like being guests in a noble’s estate. If you are able, ask to have dinner prepared for you to eat under the stars. You will taste traditional delicacies of Sicily handed down for generations. Beyond compare.

Negative: Our schedule did not allow us to stay here longer.
