Summary: The room was needing the cobweb taken away ! The bathroom was lovely however an accident waiting to happen ! No slip mats, as the bath was on a plinth ,stepping out onto a damp tiled floor from a height is not great ! The handle on the shower kept dropping off . I spoke to the receptionist and she said she didn’t have any maintenance people ! It took 11/2 hrs to have a 2 course meal in the Monday evening . The staff on the breakfast shift - they certainly need training - I had to ask someone to take my order , then they take the order without writing it down and therefore got it wrong. They never cleared the cereal dishes away before bringing the main breakfast dishes . The tea was like dish water ! It was very disappointing as I’ve stayed at this hotel before in March 2026 - standards have certainly slipped .

Summary: Have stayed at this hotel on many occassions and have always enjoyed. Over the past year or so, some of the attention to detail has gone. Not enough to stop going but little things like removing sparkling water and fresh milk from the rooms which helped make it better than some of the local competition.

Summary: Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding, on arriving the receptionist was polite and very helpful, directed us to our room which was easily found. Our room was beautiful and clean, well maintained. We had a room overlooking the river which was quiet and peaceful with stunning views. Breakfast in the morning of the wedding was amazing, hot and plenty of it. So we didn’t go hungry. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately the only down side was the exterior of the building. In need of a little TLC cleaning of the gutters and splash of paint would make such a difference. The grounds were well maintained and clean. Would I stay again. Yes I would

Summary: Stayed at this hotel many times and never disappoints. Quiet, comfy room and friendly staff. Both breakfast and evening meal are great. Plenty of parking and EV charging points.

Summary: The service at Maryculter was excellent, the meals were of a very high standard, and the gardens and interior were beautifully maintained, bedrooms seem to be updated recentrly. The hotel’s historic character made our end-of-trip visit to Scotland even more special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Summary: Clean room, very helpful staff, lovely selection for breakfast and good selection in the bar. Only downfall is it's not very wheelchair accessible which comes with the age of the building which is understandable

Summary: I stayed here the night before my wedding at Drum Castle and was able to utilize the late checkout so I could get ready there with my hair and makeup artists. My bridesmaids, mother, and I had such a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delivered to my room and was delicious, and the property was clean and very relaxing. Lots of cute bunnies outside! We enjoyed our experience here very much and would stay again!
