Summary: Excellent country manor hotel in a remote location outside Aberdeen. Very well maintained and well staffed. We had a comfortable room with a view of the river. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. Can't fault our stay.

Summary: Staff very helpful. Reported towel rail not working and water overflowing to bathroom floor when showering. Biggest disappointment was breakfast, no bowls or plates at the buffet. Empty orange juice containers, no croissants either morning and only 2 pastries! Asked for yogurts as there were none, the two I picked were out of date by 3 days, not good enough. I could go on, however, girl was very apologetic and worked hard for us and other guests. Not what we expect from a 4 star establishment. Hotel is lovely, had a room overlooking the river.

Summary: The hotel is always a favourite place of mine to stay when in the region, good quality fixtures and fittings, comfortable bed and rooms, fantastic housekeeping and great food & service, The Great Hall (Residents Lounge) is a special place to enjoy a glass of wine.

Summary: Old world charm. Excellent Scottish themed decour Right beside the Tay river Slow check in detracted from the first impressions. In some areas, maintenance is lacking.

Summary: It is a beautiful property on the banks of the Dee. Our room was large and beautiful, with a great bathroom and an amazing shower. We did not eat in the restaurant, but the staff recommended a great place in Peterculter (the Ploughman) that was excellent. The staff was great - the only negative for us was the room was too hot, making it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, great!
