Positive: I was upgraded to Martin’s Chateau du Lac. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a lovely location by the lake at Genval, great to walk around. It was about 10 mins walk to the station, the walk is quite steep.

Negative: The room was a little tired at the edges, but it didn’t affect the comfort of my stay.

Positive: It is great that the hotel is working to operate more sustainably and to reduce the amount of single use plastics generated. But with all its efforts I was mystified that it still uses individual plastic butter/margarine tubs at its breakfast buffet. This is so easy to replace.
