Positive: Mats, the host, contacted me before the holiday and it was easy to stay in touch with him. He sent a handy map from the bus stop to the property and was there to meet us. The apartment is lovely with stunning views over the bay. The photos are exactly as you find it. There was beer and Cava in the fridge, a bowl of oranges and lemons, local oil, crisps, nuts - a lovely welcome. The apartment is ideally located - in the middle of everything but peaceful with a lovely beach for swimming right opposite.

Positive: Great location, comfortable bed, nicely furnished. The apartment is a lovely home base while visiting the island of Mallorca. The main sitting area is spacious and well-appointed. It was great waking up each morning and looking out over the sea and the stretch along the coastal town of Port de Soller. The bus stop is 10 minutes away and there are tons of options for food, drink and touristy shopping next door, including a bike rental shop. Mats was very helpful in coordinating our check-in and ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay. I would highly recommend Marsella as the perfect accommodation for a self-catering apartment.

Negative: It was very cold in the evenings, even with the heating unit on in the bedroom. The electric heater in the living room automatically turned off around 9pm. In the warmer months, the apartment must be amazing, and the chill from colder & rainy days wouldn't be an issue, but in March with the cooler & rainy days, we were felt cold at the end of the day. As an added note for a wish list, but by far not a deal-breaker, it would have been nice if extra toilet paper were left and some basic extra kitchen staples, like olive oil, (there was salt, pepper & a few other items in the cupboard), were stocked rather than having to buy these items for a one week stay.

Positive: Fabulous location - views over Port de Soller even better than the photos. Close to all of the restaurants and faciities. Comfortable, clean, well equipped. Easy to park in road behind apartment. Warm welcome from owner with great communication and recommendations. Great hiking from the door and top class bike hire shop just below. We would happily stay here again.

Positive: Beautiful apartment with stunning views across the bay. Very comfortable and well equipped. Mats was super friendly and helpful. Loved the little touches like the fresh oranges, welcome drinks and home pressed olive oil. Very thoughtful! Apartment is in a great location and would definitely stay again!

Negative: Parking could be tricky but we always found a space. Maybe a parasol on the balcony would be useful as it can get very hot in the evening/afternoon sun!

Positive: We loved everything about this apartment. the apartment was spotlessly clean and we particularly liked the separate bedroom, the very well equipped kitchen and the lounge which was large and comfy with breathtaking views of the Port. The host, Mats, was fantastic! Ensuring everything was perfect for us, even bringing fresh fruit! We have stayed in the Port many times but cannot wait to return to Marsala.

Positive: Property was in the best central position, yet quiet. Amazing view from balcony, great place to sit and people watch. Great base. Mat was helpful, reliable and friendly.

Negative: yes as some people had commented some of the decor was a little tired, but it doesnt matter! the apartment was super clean and the bed was new and comfy.

Summary: would definitely recommend this apartment as a base to explore Soller and the beautiful area
