Positive: The Mariposa Jungle Lodge was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and always available. We stayed in the Deluxe Bungalow with Garden View - it was spacious, clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The pool area was lovely, with places to relax and beautiful gardens - and the pool was very clean and well-kept. We followed the advice of staff and went hiking on their jungle trails - lovely flora and fauna - we were provided a radio to contact staff if needed. We also enjoyed dinner and drinks at the lodge’s intimate restaurant - the service and food were fabulous. The location is great - we explored the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve and Barton’s Cave. We had a lovely visit - thank you / gracias!

Positive: Amazing staff - Leo and Robbie went out of their way to provide excellent service and a friendly welcome. Great location and setting. Nice room

Negative: Food and drink were very overpriced. A local beer cost 3 times what it did in most other restaurants and 50% more than even more upscale resorts nearby. Food was tasty, but simply overpriced, perhaps taking advantage of the “captive audience”

Positive: Exquisite, lush setting! Excellent food (we opted for a la carte but you can also get a 3-meal/day plan). Staff was extremely helpful in setting up great tours for us to enjoy the area.

Negative: This property is fairly secluded so the only real food option is on site. We loved the food though so wasn't a problem for our stay.
