Positive: Nonsense beautiful view of the eolian’s islands , great location with nice kitchen, Antonietta is the perfect host.

Negative: Outside the rooms is too dark during night time, if you’re planning to eat in front of your door it’s better before sunset.

Negative: Little privacy - the terrace was shared; the bathroom wasn’t part of the room, you had to cross the terrace, which was a bit uncomfortable especially at the night - both things are not mentioned in the property description

Positive: The views are out of this world! This a traditional 18th century Sicilian home (dimora) which was lovingly restored by Antonietta and her husband, a professional photographer. Antonietta the owner was born in this place and you can see how much she loves it. We had access to a kitchen we could cook overlooking the sea infinity.. it was unforgettable. Everything is sparkling clean. Antonietta was very kind and accommodating. There are 2 nice grocery stores (from either side of the Church) in the village which provided us with fresh fruit, prosciutto, cheese and lovely local white - grillo - wine which we enjoyed thoroughly on the amazing terrace of the villa. Don’t miss the walk to the Tip of the Ravens which is an easy 20 min hike away from the villa - you won’t get to Stromboli any closer than that, unless you are a volcanologist. A private volcano eruptions viewing is almost guaranteed given how non-touristic Ginostra is. We we’ve been to Stromboli village too and it’s a completely different feel! We look forward to be back one day!

Negative: Nothing we didn’t particularly dislike, just a few things to take note of in advance. The toilet/bathroom (although reserved for each room its own) is outside of the rooms. If you go out by night (like it happened to me), make sure you use your phone flashlight not to stumble as there are a couple of stairs and the lighting was off (may be it’s available but i didn’t find). The Kitchen does not have cooking essentials like oil (only salt) which we would have expected.. we recommend adding this as a friendly touch to the guests.

Positive: Beautiful Aeolian house, all is kept to the essentials as it should. Beautiful veranda with and insuperable view, and we loved the outside kitchen and bathroom.

Positive: Perfectly simple and simply perfect! Ginostra is my idea of paradise, but as with any wonderful stay, the key is a welcoming and gracious host. Antonietta is the best of the best - and ask her husband Domenico to show you his amazing photography! Sitting under the stars on their Architectural Digest-worthy terrace, it seemed like my resting heart rate was about 30. The perfect place, the perfect hosts, and the perfect antidote for this crazy world. Can’t wait to return!

Positive: Our time in Ginostra was the most peaceful and relaxing of our entire time in Italy, made so by Antonietta and her beautiful home. So many spots within the property and without it, to sit watch the world go by. The room itself was beautiful and full of Antonietta's tender touch, and the access to a kitchen - with a couple of local markets only a few minutes away- was great. A very special space, and one to which we hope to return. Thank you so much!
