Positive: When I arrived at the property, I was told that I had received a room upgrade, which was nice of them. I had already booked two rooms with a sea view, but fortunately we were moved to the main building, not the one at the back. The rooms were spacious enough, and so was the terrace. The area is quiet, with no traffic noise, as it is set back a bit. There is a courtyard with trees and a pool, and no other hotel or villa is too close. The room has air conditioning, spacious wardrobes, a small but well-functioning fridge, and a safe. Additionally, in the bathroom we were provided with toiletries (shower cap, soap, shower gel, and shampoo). What I didn’t like PART1: First of all, when I booked, there was no option to reserve breakfast only; breakfast and dinner were included. I would have preferred to pay less and skip dinner, given the quality of the food.Breakfast was manageable you could usually find boiled eggs, omelets, some types of cheese (kasseri and feta), some vegetables, yogurt, olives, butter, jam, and that was about it. It was mostly the same every day, except for occasional pizza or cake for dessert. There were some fruits, but they sometimes ran out because some guests took them in bags. Milk was only UHT, and cereals were either cornflakes or chocolate-flavored. The quality of the ingredients was very poor, especially if you expect 4-star hotel standards. The cheese was probably the cheapest type with no flavor, tomatoes were tasteless even in peak season, pastries were frozen and made with margarine completely flavorless. Cold cuts looked awful; imagine the cheapest kind, all tasting like generic bologna (sausages, ham, salami). Only once did we get bacon, which was okay, but in small amounts and not replenished.The coffee was TERRIBLE. At a 4-star hotel, I expected freshly ground beans and milk, but instead there was instant coffee and some white powder at the coffee machine. Water available only if you asked the waiter from the kitchen.

Negative: Dinner was much worse than breakfast,HORRIBLE. Almost the same dishes every day—boiled vegetables (Mexican-style or overcooked broccoli, cauliflower), with no real taste. Side dishes were usually overcooked pasta or potatoes, either baked but soaked in oil or French fries. The meat was mostly chicken in a white sauce with mushrooms, chicken wings or thighs fried in oil, or burger patties cut in half. Desserts were the same every evening: canned fruit, a large chocolate dish, or a dessert with biscuits and a sour cream-like filling, or some kind of fried semolina in oil. Not all at once, but these were the rotating options. Definitely the lowest-quality cafeteria-style food. Two years ago, I stayed at a 2-star hotel in Crete with breakfast and dinner. The selection wasn’t very diverse, but the quality was much higher, and the dinner tasted homemade. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The room had a persistent bad smell, even when the window was mostly open. The bathroom had mold in the corners. The toilet water drained very slowly, and in one room, it completely broke down. A plumber had to come, but after the first repair, it didn’t work at all. A second visit finally fixed it, but you still had to wait a long time for the bowl to fill. The shower mat looked dirty from the moment we arrived—it was supposed to be white but was more of a light gray with stains. Dust was on the furniture from the start. The room lighting was very weak, even with many bulbs. Daily cleaning was very superficial: they swept or wiped the middle of the room, leaving dirt along the edges. The bathroom mat was replaced only twice all week, even though it was very dirty.The location is difficult to reach without a car, and evenings are dull, with only streets lacking sidewalks to walk on. he hotel beach is tiny, mostly rocks and a breakwater, with just space for two sunbeds—barely worth it for “sea access.” I wouldn’t return to this hotel. I’d rather pay more for a cleaner, better-serviced.

Summary: I wouldn’t return—poor conditions and location. Definitely not recommended!!!

Positive: Helpful staff, nice size pool, good entrance to the sea with nice beach.

Negative: Air conditioning not working, light turned off in the whole room one day but we were offered a different room.

Positive: The staff cleaned every day and told us to leave towels on the floor if we wanted them changed. The pool was nice size and good for children. The sea and the beach are very nice as well right in front of the hotel.

Negative: There are too many wasps and we couldn’t see that they were trying to fix this problem as they were everywhere. The shower needs deep clean as it had mould as well as the curtain in the shower. The food was not varied as it was pretty much the same every day. The juice and tea coffee was only available in the morning. There were uncovered wires in the pool. There was no shop in walking distance. For those who want night walks or any nightlife you need a car or choose a different hotel overall.

Summary: Overall it was ok with small problems that the hotel management should really look into.

Positive: The hotel was full, well stocked and well organised. Everyone was polite and helpful. The room was very nice, with a very comfortable bed and a balcony with a sea view. The room was clean, the bathroom had some minor stains due to age, not uncleanliness.

Negative: The shower was broken in our room. When we notified the staff, they promised to fix it the next morning and that never happened. We have health issues with gluten, so when we asked what we could eat from the restaurant menu (as in no gluten in sauces, etc), the staff recommended the fish. It was indeed without gluten, though on the first night it was a little raw and on the second night it seemed spoiled. Otherwise the food was great. Would return again.
