Positive: Property is close to surfers and had onsite carpark. Pool was lovely.

Negative: There was a musty smell on our floor as soon as you get out the lift (level 15) Carpets need to be replaced. One of the lifts wasn’t working. House keeping came every day but forgot to replace toilet paper or some of the towels including pool towels. Fridge has a bad smell.

Negative: I didn’t like how our room was entered and cleaned after one night. Wasn’t necessary. I watched the cleaner knocking on door of another room and open door immediately. Not good for privacy.

Positive: Lovely views of the beach in the ocean rooms. Shower had great water pressure, it was nice to have a fridge in the room too and it was a decent size. Bed was comfy, such a close walk to everything you need in the nightlife area of the Gold Coast and the beach too. GLink is close by as well so easy to get around, fabulous location.

Negative: The hotel is definitely older, it was clean but a little rundown and you could hear neighbours in other rooms. The beds don't have a big doona or comforter on them, just a sheet, and I wasn't able to temperature control the AC so had to ask for some blankets which were scratchy fleece blankets.

Positive: Underground parking was handy, cool view of the beach

Negative: NOT CLEAN - carpet felt dirty (stains). Dust was sitting on top of surfaces (even the cardboard notes they had around the room), thick layers of it above the mirrors to the point you could see it hanging over the edge in clumps. Very dusty where the carpet meets the skirting boards, clearly they only do quick vacuums between guests. Description claims “spa bath” when it’s really an old bath that you wouldn’t want to soak in for hygiene reasons. Black mould growing above the shower ceiling (which isn’t very high above so you can spot easily). No fan in the bathroom so everything was wet and damp, had to put our towels on the balcony chairs to dry and hope they didn’t blow away. Personal preference maybe but the soap/shampoo/conditioner smelt like lemon dishwashing liquid. Pans were dirty on arrival and no dishwashing liquid to clean it with, other than to put it in the dishwasher (maybe should have used shampoo since it smelt the same)
