Summary: The Mandarin Oriental is first class and has a fantastic view of Central Park. After the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, this is a wonderful place to recharge and relax. The Christmas decorations were great and the kids loved the North Pole Post Office and chocolate. We would definitely come back.

Summary: The Mandarin Oriiental is a beautiful charming hotel on the Upper West Side with great atmosphere and a far more welcoming wonderful accommodating staff! The staff was outstanding and the service impeccable. I had a horrendous experience at the hotel I had booked with my mother in Soho that week who lost our reservation and couldn’t care less, even when I showed them it was not cancelled. They were not helpful and we were frantic trying to find accommodations at 1am. My mother had a knee replacement and it was extremely traumatic for her to not be able to lay down and ice her leg and to be treated so poorly while I spent hours trying to re plan our entire trip to see my daughter in college. We were very relieved to be in the such great hands at the Mondrian Oriental. I can’t say enough good things about every single aspect the staff did to make our stay special! It is truly a gem.
