Negative: Possibly the smallest bedroom I have ever stayed in. I had to do a funny walk to get to my side of the bed. No room for a bedside table so glasses, book etc. all had to go on the floor. No wardrobe so clothes had to go in another room. A clever conversion of two short shipping containers, mostly successful, but not in the bedroom.

Positive: excellent location, lovely little cabin within a huge field. very cosy and warm, despite really cold and windy weather. Nigel really made us feel very welcome, no spoilers to alert you to the surprises on arrival but the best we have received in the UK. Nigel is very knowledgeable about the local area with lots of great information about where to go, what to do, great tips mom local walks. We will definitely be back, sooner rather than later I hope!

Positive: My husband and I couldn’t have had a more amazing stay than this property!!! Wow! 1) The place is amazing. It was recently built and is designed beautifully. It’s small but comfortable and has gorgeous decor. It has a full kitchen (refrigerator, oven, microwave, sink, all the utensils and cookware you could need, etc.), a TV, hot water, plenty of windows, and a fire pit to sit by or cook over outside. 2) The location is perfect. The view from the property is GORGEOUS - we were enamored. As well, if you’re interested in grabbing a pint at the local pub, learning the history of the town, or getting in some nightlife in the nearby downtown area, there is plenty to do. 3) Most notably of all, the property owner, Nigel, is wonderful. He made us feel right at home. He messaged us before we got there to answer any questions we had and make sure he got anything we needed, greeted us and showed us the place when we arrived, and sent us off at the end. He would be available if you needed anything and really went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible weekend. I’ve never met a host like him. So many thanks to him. If there is an open spot, you have to stay at this place!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You won’t regret it.

Negative: Because you’re in a rural area, you’ll find a bit more pests (wasps, spiders) than you might find in the city, but it was to be expected and under control. Just be aware when you leave the doors open! Otherwise not a problem at all!
