Positive: Lovely cottage, bed was comfy. Lovely garden. We cooked everyday and everything we needed to do so was available. Games box was a useful addition, especially as it rained everyday, and was a much needed distraction! Host responded quickly to our enquiries and kept us up to date throughout booking process. Scenery was stunning. Parking was easy at the Village Hall.

Negative: Too hot, we respected the instructions not to turn the heating off but this made it a little uncomfortable for our preference, I’m sure this would not be the same for everyone. A slightly later checkout would be nice, most hotels are 11am, especially as you have to strip the bed yourselves.

Positive: Lovely little cottage with everything you need for your stay!

Negative: Nothing but just to add that the garden isn’t entirely dog-proof as there is a low wall adjoining neighbouring property at bottom of garden. We accompanied our dog outside as it was low enough for him to jump over!

Positive: The fields around the property are dog friendly (provided you check with the locals/farmers) so amazing walks from the doorstep.

Negative: Would have been great if the WiFi reached the conservatory - but we were both trying to work from home so probably wouldn’t impact your average traveller.

Summary: Brilliant! Will definitely be back x plus the neighbours were lovely!

Positive: Very warm central heating-had to turn radiators down a bit! Great washer/dryer-I did not notice it was a dryer as well for a while! Induction hob worked fine once got the hang of it. Barbon Inn very nice and down to earth/old fashioned.

Negative: Beams over the bed are a bit low. Banged head several times-maybe the low one should have some marker tape or something on it? Parking in lane not great-easier to park in village hall car park

Positive: Great location with everything you could possibly want/need. Local pub a few minutes walk away, which had lovely staff, food and nice locally brewed beer. Chaos the pub dog welcomed our dog. Local cafe/village shop had lovely staff and owner. We enjoyed our hot drinks and shortbread. Lovely local walks enjoyed by us and our dog.
