Summary: The hosts are amazing and make you feel very welcomed. They are some of the best hosts we’ve ever had. Breakfast was so good and the property is very beautiful. We had an amazing time exploring the area while we were there. I stayed with two young boys and they loved it here.

Summary: It is hard to know where to begin this review. From the initial amazement when entering the property and seeing the lush environment to the astonishment of learning that Roger and Rosa took over this property years ago when it was a cow pasture and have converted it into an absolute tropical paradise. He plants 2000 plants a year with the emphasis on indigenous plants and attraction of animals. The stonework all from native stone is phenomenal. The breakfasts were amazing. Their hospitality was outstanding and always with a concern that we were getting everything we needed. It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth every pothole and rut and more to get there. You will not go wrong coming to Malekus Mountain Lodge.

Summary: Clean rooms and pool, kitchen available, delicious breakfasts and natural juices, Roger and his wife Rosy are very friendly and very helpful. Suggested places to visit. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Nice trails. Thank you.

Summary: A lovely location with great, helpful staff. The lack of a restaurant for lunch and dinner is not a problem, as the staff recommended a very good reasonably priced restaurant 600 metres away. The approach road surface isn't great, but the lodge is well worth the effort!

Summary: My family talked about our wonderful stay here the entire trip. The grounds are incredible! I loved sitting in the rocking chair listening to the man-made waterfall, discovering the rock path with jaw dropping beauty at every turn and enjoying the refreshing pool. The hosts are amazing as well! They truly love showing the place. Breakfast was fantastic and they were so gracious to give us seconds on smoothies. If we are lucky enough to come back to Costa Rica, we know where to stay!

Summary: The property was absolutely stunning! Beautifully built with an eye to the comfort of guests and respectful of the natural beauty upon which it was built. The owners and hosts, Roger and Rosie, are amongst the kindest and most hospitable people I have met on our travels. We only had two nights here but this place calls for a longer stay where you can enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the place. Next time!
