Positive: A very nice hotel in a beautiful location with stunning views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had one meal at the restaurant, which was quite good. The place has a great atmosphere overall, and the pub is perfect for relaxing in the evening.

Negative: The breakfast was rather poor for a hotel of this category. Also, the lights on the pier stay on all night, which spoils the view from the rooms facing the mountains and makes it almost impossible to see the Northern Lights when they appear. The lights reflect on the windows and block the view completely. Finally, the hotel is very far from anything — cafés, restaurants, or any kind of “civilization.” There’s just a small mini market and a gas station nearby; anything else is over a 30-minute drive away.

Positive: This resort was everything I ever dreamed it would be! We rented a car and drove from Tromso. We spent two nights in a cabin and one night in hotel both had amazing views and we enjoyed both the same! We were fortunate to see northern lights 2 out of 3 nights we were there! The guides are amazing for the excursions and really make the experience! But you will be cold (as expected) and its a 1km uphill walk to most of them so I’d recommend booking excursions on separate days for your experience to be most enjoyable especially if traveling with kids.
