Positive: The location is great. The top floor had a really nice view and breeze. Great place to chill. The staff were very helpful with finding and arranging boat captains, although negotiation is up to you. Very good value for money.

Negative: Showers didn’t always drain properly. Mattresses and pillows were really hard.

Summary: Beautiful location in the old town. Safe little hideaway from the bussle of Lamu town.

Positive: It’s a beautiful house in the historical center, very nearby the jetty and the main road and the market. The house in itself is beautiful and well renovated has 3 floors, many rooms and bathrooms and a wonderful terrace. Julius and Grace who work there took care of our family. Breakfast is not included you can use the kitchen or ask a cook to come and cook for you and pay for her job

Negative: Most of the mosquito nets were with a lot of holes. We had one with us and we used it for our kids. It’s really a miser thing unsafe for the guests and makes the house cheap. The “swimming pool” advertised exists but it’s impossible to use, disgusting dirty and full of mosquitoes.

Positive: The host was gracious and responsive. Zion was exceptionally helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a splendid time. We will DEFINITELY be back. The house is huge, very spacious and true Lamu style. Very close to the jetty. and main centres. Our stay was quite short, we wished we had more time to relish the space.
