Summary: Excellent service with staff. This is a very old hotel in a nice setting. For us it was difficult to climb very narrow and old stairs to the room. The bathroom has an Italian type bath tub. Very difficult to sit in tub and hold the shower handle with a stand up shower. This is a place for much younger people who can handle the stairs and a sit down shower.. I would not recommend this place for older folks.

Summary: What a find!! The owners, mother and son, are amazing! Falco is a great host - he helped us unload our many bags and took them up to our room. Refused to let my 80 yr. old husband do anything. Then he parked our car in their private lot behind a door which is tight to get into. He was just always available and helpful. Our room was magical - filled with antiques and had a direct view of the Pope's Palace out all windows. The building is very old and charming with wooden floors that creak. A/c was great, bed beautiful and good for sleep. Bathroom is a little different bc it's an old building but it was clean and everything worked. It's a lovingly maintained property by owners who are proud of it. This is not a cookie cutter hotel. We walked down the hill to catch the bus into town - you need money for this as they don't take cards. It's a short ride but a long walk. Falco recommended some restaurants in the little town (easy walk from the hotel) so we returned for dinner which was a great call. Chez Olivier is in the main square and was fabulous. We also ate at Flo's which he recommended and that was excellent too. The bus stops after 9 but I can't imagine dinner in Avignon could have been better than our two meals in the little town. Breakfast was fabulous - the room overlooks the Palace. Fresh OJ, good selection of cheese and meats and the fruit was cut up marvelously. Highly recommend this hotel if you want a real French experience in a lovely hotel where you feel the love.

Summary: Stunning little hotel with fabulous views over to the Popes Palace. Follow was so helpful and the breakfasts were lovely. 2 very minor downsides - we booked a meal for our second evening but the dates they operate the restaurant changed so meal was cancelled. We had been looking forward to a great meal. Second more minor is that the rustic style of the hotel did include woodworm holes in quite a lot of the wood but no woodworm actually seen so all good. One of the few places we would actually consider returning to, would totally recommend.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Maison Orsini! The hosts were incredibly warm and helpful, and the room was clean and charming. The property is located at the old shateau with lost of interesting and charming details. The homemade breakfast every morning was fantastic; beautiful backyard with sequoias and lamas! Quiet yet walkable to the city and major landmarks.
