Positive: Lovely courtyard to relax in. This is apt building in a safe, working class area with a center courtyard. Sofie is an amazing host taking time to recommend restaurants & interesting sites. Breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable & the place was very clean.

Negative: Nothing.

Summary: Would recommend to anyone if you want to get the true feel of Marseille. Thank you Sofie.

Positive: La Maison Olea is not just a stay, it is an experience in living and design. Sophie’s taste from the room decor to the food served in petit dejeuner is exquisite. If you love romance, beauty, the good life- this is for you.

Negative: Honestly we just wish we stayed longer. Note that if you like boring corporate hotel rooms- this is not for you

Positive: Sophie's warmest welcome and friendliest assistance throughout my stay; the fantastic breakfasts; the lovely garden, which was comfortable to sit in, even in mid-December; the very comfortable bed; the extremely close proximity to the tramway and La Canebière; the heating units that provide excellent heat; the abundance of hot water in the shower and sink.

Negative: The stairs; one of the interior doors is heavy and I found it difficult to lock and unlock; this is an older building, and it looks it (although the guest rooms seem to have been renovated, and they are both attractive and comfortable.)

Summary: I was so glad to have booked Madison Oléa instead of a hotel because Sophie is a fantastic host who not only served fant

Positive: Good central location off Rue Canebiere and easy access to public transport across Marseille . Walking distance to the old port, Noailles and Cours Julien area. Sophie was an excellent friendly and welcoming host who went out of her way to communicate pre arrival and during our stay. Great breakfast available to start the day. For a homely and very comfortable bed and breakfast stay bustling Marseille I recommend Maison Olea.

Negative: The only issue to be aware of - and our host communicated this clearly to us in advance - is no elevator to the first floor - so if you have very heavy bags or mobility challenges then be prepared.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Maison Oléa and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The property is beautiful, with highly aesthetic attention to detail - including fresh flowers, high-quality linen and a delicious fresh breakfast. It's also very peaceful yet centrally located. Sophie was an impeccable host, who woke up in the middle of the night to greet us when our flight in was delayed and served us a very belated breakfast (on our part) the next morning. Don't think twice about booking!

The place is near to the public transport and the sights, so you can wander the city, islands, nature and beaches around. On the other hand, there is a calm thanks to the patio (inner terrace/garden), personality of Sophie and atmosphere, you feel like home here.
