Positive: There is nothing not to love about Maison Olea and its owner Sophie. The whole accommodation was charming and delightful, spacious and comfortable. Sophie was amazing, above and beyond the call. We arrived by car, and while we double parked on the narrow street, blocking traffic, Sophie not only unloaded all of our luggage for us but carried it all upstairs to our second floor room! Breakfast was a joy, fresh fruit, eggs, and the best croissants we have ever had that Sophie gets from a local bakery obviously the moment they are out of the oven. On the morning we left we had to catch a train too early for breakfast, so she packed a "takeaway" breakfast for us the night before. A really special place run by a very special proprietor. Location great, too, just one subway stop from Saint Charles train station (don't try to walk it with luggage, it's all up a steep hill) and an easy walk or Metro ride into the central port area of the city. Wonderful neighborhood, a real melting pot of cultures with a very cool vibe. And Marseille has the most street art we have ever seen anywhere, it is on virtually every building in the city. Wow! We can't wait to come back to Marseille and Maison Olea.

Positive: Loved everything about this place - just a lovely little oasis of comfort and being looked after especially at breakfast which were wonderful. Sophie who owns Maison Olea can't do enough to make her guests feel welcomed and looked after. Would highly recommend

Positive: Lovely courtyard to relax in. This is apt building in a safe, working class area with a center courtyard. Sofie is an amazing host taking time to recommend restaurants & interesting sites. Breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable & the place was very clean.
Negative: Nothing.
Summary: Would recommend to anyone if you want to get the true feel of Marseille. Thank you Sofie.

Positive: La Maison Olea is not just a stay, it is an experience in living and design. Sophie’s taste from the room decor to the food served in petit dejeuner is exquisite. If you love romance, beauty, the good life- this is for you.
Negative: Honestly we just wish we stayed longer. Note that if you like boring corporate hotel rooms- this is not for you
