Positive: A beautiful, historic building. Spacious will equipped, clean studio room. Comfortable large bed and powerful shower. A 10 min walk to town and Midi station. We were greeted by the pleasant host who was very helpful. The highlight was a reclining sofa, bliss at the end of a busy days walking. The fridge was stocked with drinks to buy and there was a basket of fruit. All in all a lovely stay.

Negative: There are road works outside which might put some people off but we found despite it not looking nice it meant there was hardly any traffic noise. Being really picky, the knives needed sharpening. A map of Brussels would have been welcome.

Positive: The hotel and room were so beautiful and unique - it's an amazing old heritage building with so much character. The room had massive windows, a beautiful wooden beam ceiling, lovely old wood flooring and features. It really is a one of a kind.

Negative: The sound of the trains was so loud, making it really hard to sleep. It's right by the train tracks and we had to have the windows open at night because it was hot (no air conditioning, but that's normal in lots of cities in Europe). The bed was quite small for 2 people, but comfortable enough. On the last day I messaged enquiring if it was possible to get a late check out, but no one ever responded, which I didn't think was great.

Positive: We love the history behind the Maison. It is a beautiful property. It is also conveniently located close to the centre of the city which is perfect for wandering around.

Negative: Our only issue was the train outside, it was fine if you kept the windows closed but quite loud if we wanted to cool down the room at night.

Positive: Marc was there on the step to welcome us as we walked from the station - a lovely welcome. Really interesting house and a great location from which to explore Brussels. Just 10 mins walk from Zuid/ Midi station. Comfortable bed and well equipped.

Negative: Trains were a little noisy - not a problem for us but may bother some light sleepers.
