Positive: Robert was very friendly and accommodating, the house itself is beautiful, and decorated in a stylish manner. Definitely a change from the usual. Garden was lovely for a quiet sun-downer too.

Positive: It's not often that you get the chance to stay in a stately home complete with chandeliers and antique furniture without paying a significant amount of money. Robert has generously opened up his beautiful 1870 mansion so it is within the reach of normal travellers. The house is exquisite, has so much character and beautiful furniture. We felt very privileged to stay there. There is also a lovely garden, a place to store our bikes and a kitchen to make hot drinks. Robert is a very kind and gracious host.

Negative: Leaving...I really wished we had stayed longer.

Positive: Gorgeous property. A real experience to stay there - and not like the many other anodyne hotels that I had stopped at on my cycle trip. Robert was super welcoming and helpful - even though I arrived late and muddy. Fixed my phone, lent me a hose for the bike and steered me to the right restaurants.

Negative: Maybe offer a simple breakfast. There was a good coffee machine and pods on hand but a fresh croissant and orange juice would have been good :) That said, boulangeries nearby so easily sorted :)
