Positive: - The local staff is amazing, always smiling & extremely friendly. They went out of their way to organize things like trips or dives etc. - Big probs to the dive master, went diving for the very first time & he was simply the best ever in explaining everything. Felt very safe & taken care of - Loved the sea view from the balcony and the somewhat private beach So without the local ppl it wouldn’t be the same, they really made the vibe there
Negative: From a 4 star resort, I think I just would have different expectations. - The noise is really a thing. Dogs barking, roasters doing a show or people talking. Without earplugs it’s not really possible to sleep - There are +4 dogs and +3 cats in the resort, which is generally nice bc I love animals. But not when I’m eating my dinner and the cat sits on the table next to the plate and the dog next to my chair to get a bite. - In my opinion their pricing is a bit strange and not well communicated. When I buy a dive, I would expect everything to be included or to be told beforehand that there is an extra charge for apo island & also fee for gas. Same applies for the early checkout. When booking the hotel there is no information, after it says that it costs 500 PHP, simply for me leaving my room early and leaving the key in it. - One night I had some kind of bed bugs and woke up with bites all over the body. After the linen was changed it went away, but clearly there was something wrong - In the restaurant the food takes really long. One evening I waited 45 min for the main and another 35 for dessert, although there weren’t many ppl. And vegetarian options are a bit limited. Sadly I also said that I don’t eat meat while ordering the packed breakfast and then got pancakes with meat in it. So those are things I would expect otherwise for that price, but ofc might be personal :)

Positive: Nice hotel with good food and friendly staff. It is a way away from other hotels, it was quiet if the generator wasn't running. 2/3 nights we had the generator trying to give power to the hotel. The house reef was quiet good.
Negative: A little noisy with the generator.

Positive: Nice and clean rooms. Great restaurant. Great to be open from breakfast through to dinner. We stayed only 2 nights and were hopeful to visit Apo as first time divers. The team were hesitant to send me and my partner at first due to being feasible. They pulled through, it was an amazing experience. Shout out to Dondee (our dive instructor) being very patient and friendly. A legend dive master! Also the crew on the boat trip provided laughs and high vibes. I am stoked with our first 2 dives with the amazing reef coral and marine life!
Negative: Should have stayed longer to do open water licence. Usual Phillipines being little noisy and lots of dogs but we like dogs. Little smoke in the mornings. Quite isolated but I enjoy that feeling.

Positive: We chose this hotel during our stay on Negros Island because of its diving center and the possibility of diving on Apo Island. It's an excellent option for scuba divers. The staff was very friendly and helpful, eager to organize trips for us, which we took advantage of and were very happy with. We were happy about the food, though on the one hand, it could be quite inconsistent; the appearance of the same dish could vary significantly from day to day. On the other hand, there were some very tasty dishes – some Filipino ones– and others that were completely disappointing, like the Pad Thai and pizza.
Negative: Several things were a problem during our stay. 1) There was a serious internet issue. The internet was available at the property, but it was completely unstable. The connection strength was poor, the connection dropped, and it was often impossible to log in to the Wi-Fi at all. 2) Roosters! From around 4 a.m. to 9 a.m., the roosters would start calling. It was really hard to sleep when they were making such a loud noise all morning long. Even the earplugs provided didn't help. 3) Intermittent shower problems. There were times when the water would stop completely while showering, and you had to wait a while until it started dripping and then slowly trickling. Finally, the location is wonderful for diving at Apo Island. However, if you want to do something other than diving- yourself organizing trips or going shopping - it's very difficult. On the other hand, the trips organized by the resort were excellent.

Positive: Very peaceful setting. Great for winding down. The staff is super friendly. And the diving (we only went to Apo island) is quite good.
Negative: Free WiFi was available, but the connection was unstable.
Summary: Peaceful and beautiful place, very much recommended for divers.
