Looking to get away for a relaxing weekend, family reunion or bachelor/bachelorette party? Come on out and stay at The Hilltop Lodge! Our beautiful lodge is located in Magnolia, Mississippi, just a short 1 hour drive north of Hammond, LA. The Lodge is located inside of a wildlife preserve so please no guns unless you are booking as a hunter. Our lodge is over 5,500sq' and has 6 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, 2 full kitchens, multiple lounge areas, a game room with pool table, foosball and a mini bar. Satellite TVs in most rooms, swimming pool, multiple fishing ponds with a small paddle boat for access is also available. Just to name a few of the amenities available to our guest.

Summary: This is a huge house with lots of amenities, located in a very private rural area, but a Dollar General is located about six miles away. The roomy home has lots of great features, but our experience was very disappointing, primarily because it was not clean, the refrigerator went out, and the gas to the stove was turned off due to a gas leak. (If these conditions were remedied, I would give the house a 5 star rating!) The owner and property manager did their best to remedy the problems. The huge gameroom is a great area of the home with lots of seating and nice television. We also enjoyed the large pool, which had a nice deep end. The diving board and slide have been removed, but the pool was very clean and there were several seating areas in the sun and on the shaded porch. The fishing pond is not located in view of the house, but we drove to it and caught several large fish. Be aware that there is no ice machine or ice trays and you may need additional eating utensils, paring knives, steak knives, can opener, etc, as previous guests must have taken these from the home. The home could use some TLC, but it is well furnished with high quality furniture, good flooring, and gorgeous views.

Summary: The Old Dairy Farm was absolutely beautiful. It gives you that old southern feel. We enjoyed discovering the property.... we think the grass could maintained better. In some areas it was over our hips!! But that is a lot of land, so we totally understood. We brought our own bbq pit. We did utilize the fire pit.. we brought our own pecan logs and made 2 beautiful fires to roast some marshmallows. The fire flies were amazing to see. So many flying around! We did have an issue with the pool not being clean, but the owner Albert sent someone out the following morning to clean it for us. He had it spotless just intime for our celebration. As for the cleanliness of the entire home, it was okay. But the cleaning lady can definitely do a better job. The home is BEAUTIFUL..... so I expected clean walls, clean windows, no dust on the vents etc. But this property is amazing!!!!!!!! And i'm sure it will only get better! We will definitely be back!

Summary: This wonderful rental has the potential to be awesome but needs a cleaning crew and repairs to outside. Grounds around house were not clean, pool was not clean, fire pit was a mangled mess, bbq pits were filthy as was the large industrial stove. Cub bards and frig had someone’s food in it so there wasn’t much room available for food we brought in to cook. We all enjoyed the game room, views, pond fishing, extensive space of the house, good a/c, 2 kitchens. Just needs some love.

Summary: Took a group of children from the church for a few days. They loved the pool, fishing and catching cat-fish, and just the size of the house. Everything was clean and great experience. Will definitely return.

Summary: The property was amazing. The pool was a needed heat relief. The game room provided plenty of entertainment for the entire family. The kitchens (both) were very nice with all you could need to cook a variety of meals. The (6) bedrooms allowed everyone some privacy. We didn't have any issues with the property except for a few squeaky beds. I'd recommend this property to anyone wanting a secluded getaway for a large group. The staff was attentive and very helpful.
