Positive: Wonderful stay. Perfect location for getting away and enjoying the serene Sonoma Coast.

Negative: Loved how quiet it was, really there’s not much not to like. These are older cabins and most people are respectfully quiet, but if someone decided to be loud voices can be heard through shared wall. We had zero issues during our stay. Again, we loved it!

Positive: Location! At least annually, my husband & I love to spend time in Jenner, CA - where the river meets the ocean. This small town has a great coffee shop, one of our very favorite restaurants, River's End. As a bonus, it is a 15 minute drive to Northwood Golf course, surrounded by redwoods.

Negative: Madeira House has rooms with River/water views - this was not one. When booking, I missed the description that would have told me to "not book the Sparrow room". There were 2 or 3 small sky lights & 2 small windows (1 in shower - frosted & 1 near entry) & 1 large window that I believe this was described as having a garden view. In actuality, it faced a fence, with rock wall above & sparse flowers .... certainly not a garden. The window would have provided much needed light into the room; however, a walking path immediately outside the window was used by other guests . ....hence, a privacy issue, that required us to keep the window covered.

Summary: We very much enjoyed Jenner; however, the Madeira House was a huge disappointment.

Positive: Room is very comfortable, bed is luxurious and glasses, microwave, coffee maker and hot water pot were thoughtful additions. The room was very peaceful and quiet and views and bird watching are fantastic. Outdoors chairs and table and indoor overstuffed chairs were much appreciated.

Negative: Maybe leave a box of Kleenex in the room. Otherwise, no complaints.

Summary: Peaceful, luxurious stay at the mouth of Russian River!

Positive: This place is super cute and peaceful. Rooms are small, but cozy. Definitely opt for a room with a private balcony & fireplace!

Negative: Bring everything you think you may need. Chances are they don't have it on hand and the staff is not on site at night/early in the morning. Walls are fairly thin and everyoneeee brings their dogs!

Positive: Lovely spot not too far from home. Beautiful views, great colors in decor and on walls, spotless, very comfortable, and a few doors away from River’s End Restaurant!

Positive: Loved my stay at Madeira, very peaceful, clean, beautifully decorated rooms with a calm river view. The staff were very friendly too. Will definitely come back.
