Negative: The cleanliness of the room was disappointing. Attention to detail must be paid if you continue to charge your existing prices! The pasta meal I had tasted was very bland! Could have been better.

Positive: Location very good. Great view out of bar and restaurant onto golf course. Nice touch, angling a table of two towards the window view. Room very good size and clean. Reception staff especially friendly.
Negative: Coffee from machine a bit insipid for our taste, evening meal could have been hotter, but staff did try to rectify this to my satisfaction.

Positive: Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, great sized room, bath AND shower in the bathroom, good facilities for cyclists
Negative: Why do so many hotel chains provide heavy and excessively warm duvets? And sachets of ordinary Nescafe coffee was a disappointment. Given that so many guests were riding the Tour o' the Borders and had to leave at 6am, an option for some sort of breakfast box would be an idea

Positive: The staff were excellent. When we arrived after a very long drive they were quick to get us booked in. The lady on reception booked us a table for a meal that evening and also for breakfast.
Negative: Being there when there was an England World Cup match! It wasn’t the fault of the hotel but celebrating guests were to be honest quite inconsiderate - banging doors and shouting in the corridor up to 3 in the morning!
Summary: A convenient and comfortable hotel which we will return to.
