Positive: The stay at Mabel was overall a great choice. Friendly for my 2 dogs as this was the reason I chose to stay. The place is well decorated and furnished. The location is well placed for walks to the beach and there is plenty of food options nearby on the high St. I would highly recommend if you have dogs and like the seaside.

Positive: Beautifully decorated and high quality finished apartment. Convenient location.

Negative: Didn’t realise was a house split into two apartments. Could hear guests talking and dog barking in upstairs apartment. Luckily for us the guests didn’t make too much noise, but would hate to be there with a rowdy neighbour. Property conversion meant a very small bathroom shoe-horned in (watch your bare bottom on the radiator when you get out the shower!). Apartment doesn’t get much light and parking in street can be challenging. Would be nice to have more supplies for our 10 day stay - only one set of towels for one person, three dishwasher tablets, and no bin bags etc ! Disappointing that Sykes Holiday Cottages, that manage the property, didn’t bother answering message I sent in advance of our stay.

Positive: Location was great - walkable from train station, high street and the beach Decor and facilities modern - tidy, functional and well kept Access to private rear garden!

Negative: Bedroom faces the street. Noisy in weekend evenings when local, rowdy youngsters walk by to paint the town red. We stayed during a heat wave so had to open the windows while sleeping. It felt a little bit unsafe thinking passerbys could just climb into the property, and hence directly into the bedroom.
