Positive: The house was very clean, cosy and comfortable. We met Jon a few times and he is very friendly, he dit put out our lights at our little home for me to get an even better view of the northern lights. There are two dogs who come and see if you are home and who are very happy if you want to play with them. We had a very pleasant stay! Highly recommend!

Negative: Nothing!

Positive: We had the most wonderful stay in this remote location, where we were pleased to find everything we needed and more. Very comfy place for us and our two kids, very warm even despite the -18 outside. Also the best place to admire the northern lights. Thank you!

Positive: It was such a cool place to stay at even or especially during a December snow storm. We enjoyed the rough, wild countryside and being away from the city. We loved Askur and Freyja, the working dogs who visited us regularly. Seeing and petting the sheep at the barn was a highlight! The hosts were super kind showing us everything!

Positive: Fully equipped kitchen and room. New and clean. Nice space and views. The dogs were nice. Good ahower pressure. Price / value is fine.

Negative: I hate writing this review because the owners showed their best disposition, but future guests should know. And maybe it helps to find a solution. After 8 hours of tourism in November in ICEland what you really need is a warm and comfy space. And, while comfortable, the cabin was terribly cold. It took a lot of time to heat it up with the heaters at maximum power and even after many hours the temperature was at most "barely ok", remaining the floor super cold too. This ruined the experience, and my feeling is that it could be mostly solved with an electric air heater. Besides, the bathroom smells quite bad due to the pipes and you can't open the window or else you end up frozen.

Positive: Small independent hut far away from the city yet easy to reach. The landscape is nice and quiet.

Negative: Too small. Makes it uncomfortable for more than 2 people. A bad smell was coming from the toilet. The shower is also too small and not easy to regulate the temperature. If water is used in the kitchen, the water from the shower changes the temperature. The cold air from outside came through the stove vent so the heating is rather inefficient.

Positive: This was the least expensive place we stayed in Iceland and without a doubt the best equipped. I even found a stand mixer. Holy cow. Even flour and other baking supplies and dry foodstuffs, oils and coffee. If you brought your own egg, you could bake a cake. Anyway, the cabin (1 of 2) is located on a sheep farm. Very pastoral. We were greeted by Oskar and his daughter Freya. they are the owner's dogs and are super friendly (and gorgeous). Our host, a friendly fellow (forgot name) stopped by on his way out to welcome us and introduce himself. We felt right at home. Honestly, they could easily be charging $100 more per night. pro tip - use your savings and shop at the divine Ullarserid to get an heirloom quality sweater.

Negative: nothing negative comes to mind. we did fear that there was an issue with the shower control, but you just need to search for the turnoff point to truly turn the water off (otherwise it drips).

Summary: quality at this price makes this Iceland's travel lodging secret
