Negative: You need a hire car to stay here as the road is to dangerous to walk along Pool could do with being heated at this time of year

Negative: The property had a number of large issues most importantly safety concerns. The downstairs area had a very strong musty odour and was damp and the lights intermittently failed making it dangerous particularly as we had young children sleeping there. When it rained the roof leaked significantly flooding the lounge area which we had to use our bath towels to mop up as we had nothing else. We reported it to the owner but were told there was nothing they could do then as it was raining but they did not subsequently follow up. The power tripped frequently from the moment we arrived. We reported it and were blamed for it with the suggestion it was our phone chargers (we had only just arrived and not plugged anything in yet). We continued to report the power outages during our stay but they failed to follow up adequately. I believe this is a significant safety issue and it is negligent to not act immediately as the power was tripping multiple times per day. On the final morning we had to be at the airport early and the power tripped multiple times. As it was early it was pitch black when the power went out and we couldn’t even see to get to the fuse box which was so dangerous especially with such steep stairs connecting the three levels. Whilst these issues will hopefully be fixed due to the safety risk it is concerning that they were not adequately responsive to them. There was also limited glasses/mugs/cooking equipment for a place where you are paying such a premium price. The property has the potential to be great given its location, spaciousness and pool but our experience was soured by the safety risk.

Positive: Loved every detail of this beautiful property. Villa Barbati Sun was built to the highest standard. A million dollar view inside & out. Beautiful pool, beautiful furnishings. Great Wi-Fi if you need. Absolutely lovely care from our host was very much appreciated.

Negative: The fact that we can’t stay forever in this Luxury Villa Barbati Sun is the only negative.
