Casa Maya is a modern luxury home located in the secure gated community of Marina Chacala, which surrounds the pristine and private Chacalilla beach. Marina Chacala is located adjacent to Chacala – a quaint, beachside community with its own magnificent beach, palapa-covered restaurants and friendly locals. Located just 60 miles north of Puerto Vallarta and off the tourist track, Chacalilla and Playa Chacala are two of the most uncrowded, beautiful and clean beaches on the Nayarit Coast.
Casa Maya is a stunning, light-filled, spacious one-story home with expansive decks nestled in tropical surroundings. It is a nature- and bird-lover’s paradise, perfect for 2-3 couples, a family with kids, or a romantic getaway for two.
Go to sleep with the sounds of waves crashing from the two private beaches that are located just 300 yards away. With no immediate neighbors, the house is one of the most tranquil in the development, yet still walking distance to all amenities.
The home sleeps 7 and has one master suite with king bed, private deck and private bathroom with a two-person tub; a second bedroom with queen sleeper sofa and twin bunk bed ; and a third private exterior bedroom (second master suite) with a queen bed, kitchenette and full bath. The main living space features a large modern kitchen with all new appliances, including dishwasher, refrigerator, 6-burner gas range/oven, microwave, and filtered drinking water and ice maker. The kitchen also includes a bar-top eating area and dining area with seating for 9 in total. The main living space has an oversized L-couch that seats 8 comfortably. Outside, enjoy the private pool and your meals and cocktails on the large covered deck with dining area and overhead fan, or around the rock fire pit in the garden below.
The house is just a 5-7 min walk from two private beaches – 1) Sunset Point, which is a rocky beach with tide pools for exploring and a big grassy picnic area, and 2) Chacalilla beach, which is a kid-friendly protected bay with powder-like sand – perfect for swimming, paddle boarding/kayaking and snorkeling. Chacalilla beach also has a beach club with infinity pool, lap pool, kiddie pool and café. The house is also about a 15-min walk away from two tennis courts and a pickle ball court. The entire development and all amenities listed are connected by a 3-mile paved path, perfect for walking, jogging, biking and strollers. The house is also just a 10-min walk away from the gated entrance to the community, outside of which is the town of Chacala with shops, restaurants, and small grocery stores.
Our fully bilingual house manager will greet you upon arrival and, if you desire, can arrange for a private chef, massages, paddle board rentals, and surfing, fishing, whale watching, hiking and birding excursions or anything else to help make your vacation fun, relaxing and effortless. We have also arranged for the home to be cleaned once a week, but if you would like additional maid service, that can also be arranged through our concierge.

Summary: My partner, sister and I were lucky to spend eleven nights at Casa Maya. The new, beautifully designed and constructed home provided us with modern comfort in the jungle. The property manager, Javier, was fabulous and quickly responded to every issue and request. The artwork, decor, and a terrific landscape painted by the owners' young daughter added to the whole experience. We were happy to find out that the third bedroom had been expanded into a separate apartment. The modern kitchen was stocked with good quality cookware, kitchen tools, glassware and plates. The only thing missing was a gas grill for outdoor cooking. Our request for some kind of barbecue was met by providing us with a small, old but serviceable grill. I hope a gas grill is in the near future. The private community is studded with beautiful homes tucked unobtrusively into the jungle foliage. The private beach club, pools and beach were terrific. We went everywhere by foot for the first several days, which was pretty strenuous and influenced our decisions to go into town. After a few days we rented a golf cart arranged through Javier, which greatly enhanced our ability to explore the town. I highly recommend making similar arrangements. So thank you Brian, Javier, Conchita, Hector, and all the others who worked to make our stay so very special. And thank you Maya for sharing your artwork!
