Positive: Beautifully decorated and cosy. Very quiet and peaceful. The host was great with answering all of my questions prior to our stay and was very helpful and responsive whilst we were there. Very clean and great attention to detail throughout. We drove down from Leeds for our daughters appointment and only stayed 2 nights so didn’t get chance to explore the grounds but what we did see was lovely. I would definitely book here again should we have another reason to travel to Essex in future.

Negative: More of an FYI / constructive feedback than a dislike really - I would say is that the kettle is very much in need of a descale or replacement.

Positive: The cottage was located some distance from the main house and looked onto the walled garden. It was super quiet and we heard owls and foxes during the night. The building has been beautifully restored. It was warm and cosy during some wild weather we had. Comfy chairs to watch netflix at night, everything we needed in the kitchen to cook dinner. Very central to the area where we travelled to do family history and there were several local pubs and walks in the area. Perfect get away from London.

Positive: The location is beautiful even on a wet and grey autumn. Superb layout for our small family, it had everything we needed. Our son really enjoyed it. We had a few personal emergenies which impacted our stay. The hosts were fast responding, kind and extremely welcoming. We'd certainly stay again.and recommend to.others.
