Summary: The cottage is very nice. The automated email from vrbo did not include any instructions for accessing the cottage and said to contact the host directly. We understand this should not have been the case and key location should have been included in the email. We messaged the host before we left home and again when we arrived, but got no response. Eventually a google search found a property broker with a business connection to the host, who was able to tell us where to find the key. The host phoned us a bit later and apologized for the mix up. He had been at a funeral and had only just seen our messages. All good in the end and we really enjoyed our stay. It was very windy the second night and that seemed to interfere with the internet and tv a bit, but you don’t go out into a beachful rural location to watch tv or pkay on your phone, so that was minor. A lovely little new-old cottage.

Summary: We did not stay because the homestay was not ready. Owner was very apologetic and informed me that the cleaner let him down. I asked for a full refund and that was done very quickly which I am very grateful for. Though our weekend didn’t turn out as planned, I’m sure others will enjoy their stay. Just unfortunate that it didn’t work out for us.

Summary: We loved our stay. Peaceful while still close to town. It was the middle of winter and very cold but the cottage was cozy and the fire was great. Lovely breakfast supplies too. Thanks to the hosts who were so easy to deal with.
