Our spot creates relaxed romance from dawn to dusk where entertaining is easy, comfort reigns supreme and natural beauty is the essence of style. Our location in Arroyo Grande puts you within 2 minutes of the Cypress Ridge Golf Course, 5 minutes to wineries and the historic Village of Arroyo Grande, and 7-10 minutes to Pismo and Avila Beaches. The Central Coast rivals the Napa Valley featuring more than 200 wineries and vineyards in the region. On almost any given weekend one can find activities such as wine tastings and festivals, biking events, and fares of all types.
This property is ideal for small family reunions, receptions, get-togethers, corporate executive retreats, and for those wine enthusiasts interested in sharing the cost of a beautiful home and property by bringing a group of 3-4 couples, several families or a group of friends.
We are a unique property with a flock of chickens known as 'The Zen Hen Hut' birds, bunnies, miniature horse, ducks, and a sweet goat. This 2,600+ square foot family owned retreat, is a two-story home that has 3 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, a very open & large kitchen, and family and dining area. The game room with pool table, bar, large couch and games lets you enjoy your stay while having fun things to do with your family and group. The home is situated on 5 acres with generous room to relax and enjoy!
The Master Suite features a Balinese hand carved four poster (king) bed with luxurious bedding including 500 thread count sheets, chenille blanket and oh so comfy pillows. It also has a cozy sitting area for reading or watching TV on the large flatscreen. The bath with this bedroom includes a dual vanity, travertine floor, a walk-in custom travertine shower and a bay window with a bench seat that allows guests to lounge in serenity!
The second large bedroom is equipped with a sleigh (king) bed with silky sheets, chenille blanket and velvet duvet . This bedroom whispers romance with red walls, and sitting area offering a flat screen TV.
The third bedroom highlights a queen bed and also has a built-in desk. Enjoy the second bath amenities including travertine floors, glass tile counters, dual vanity and then ultimately relax and unwind!
The library has a cozy daybed and can accommodate 2 for sleeping, as well as the ADDITIONAL DAYBED IN THE GAME ROOM
The game room is equipped with a full size pool table, bar and popcorn cart. The floors are stained concrete and offer a comfy couch with more games for kids and adults alike. This large room also allows a queen size bed that can be brought in very easily for more sleeping accommodations.
The dining and living area is open and airy with a large dining table, a long bar and a cozy bistro nook area (seats 13 all together). Relax and conversate in the main living area that boasts a flat screen TV, overstuffed chenille couch and gas log fireplace. The home includes all linens, blankets, deluxe coffee maker, cooking and utensils, and beach towels. There is a fenced yard and we do accept pets (see the pet fees on prices page). We can accommodate up to 11.

Summary: Peri and Jeff were great hosts! My family had such a great time at their beautiful home. Peri gave us a tour upon arrival of the house and later of the farm. We loved feeding all the animals and spending time with them. Peri also had some recommendations on some local attractions that turned out to be great. I highly recommend this place. My family and I will be back in the future.

Summary: The property and owners were wonderful! The house was beautiful, clean, and plenty of room. We had plenty of amenities, towels, blankets, etc. My children loved the animals, spending time with them, and helping to feed them (a real high light!!) . It was so peaceful and quiet, just what we needed for some quality family time.

Summary: Wonderful stay at Zen Farms! We were 4 adults, 2 kids (age 2 and 4), plus two dogs looking for a quiet, large space for the kids to “roam”. Peri and Jeff are overcommunicative, wonderful hosts who had everything prepared for our arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook and bake for the whole family— there is even an instant pot! Peri invited us to help feed and brush the animals (goats, mini horses, ducks, fish, chickens, and pigs!) each morning and afternoon, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.The home is very spacious, with three bedrooms two bathrooms upstairs and a twin room half bath downstairs. The pool table is located in the family room, the farthest from the upstairs bedrooms, so our sleeping kids wouldn’t hear anything. The house is also equipped with multiple gates (for kids or dogs), an extra twin mattress (which we used for one of the kiddos), and a pack n play, and PLENTY of sheets, towels, blankets, and robes. There are also beach chairs, boogie boards, and wetsuits of all sizes (including for kids)— honestly we’ve never stayed in a more well-stocked home.The location is on the Mesa in Arroyo Grande, about 15 min drive from Pismo Beach, 10 min from Oceano, and 20-25 min from SLO. Close enough to everything you need (grocery stores, beach) and far enough from the city that it’s very quiet and you can see all the stars at night. We’ll be back!

Summary: Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations! The adults and kids alike are already talking about returning. During our one week stay we quickly learned the beautiful home was icing on the cake, the real treasures of this property are Peri, Jeff and the animals! Peri took so much time and care to educate and provide a life long joyful memory for our granddaughters with the animals every day of their stay. They are now asking for their own goats, pigs and chickens. We truly felt like we were "home" while we were there. Communication was easy and all of our questions answered quickly. The home itself was clean, family friendly, comfortable and well stocked! You have everything you need from cozy blankets to a fully stocked kitchen if you choose to bring food to cook. Jeff even took the extra steps to provide my husband with fresh cut wood and a bbq! There is plenty of room for everyone and we especially loved all the cozy seating areas outside all around the property! There are games, puzzles, a pool table, a really fun popcorn machine, a rope swing and many other things we didn't have time to use like wetsuits and boogie boards. I would give their location a 10 out of 10! We were less than 15 minutes from Pismo Beach Pier and yet far enough away from everything that it felt peaceful and private. We visited 5 beaches while we were in the area and never drove more than 35 minutes! I could go on and on but, I'm out of space. I will end by saying, we will be back!

Summary: Ten of us spent two nights here while visiting with each other and with family members who live in the area. The house easily accommodated our entire group and was a nice place to hang out - lots of room both inside and out. Hosts Peri and Jeff were wonderful and very accommodating. We joined them in the feeding of the animals one morning and were treated to fresh eggs from their hens later that day.

Summary: Everything about the listing was accurate. Jeff and Peri were absolutely the best hosts we have had. They were very accommodating and provided a unique experience that my family will cherish, most notably my younger children. They all loved the place that we stayed and keep asking to go back. Aside from the memories that we made, the house itself was exactly as listed. It was clean, spacious, and appropriately decorated. It felt like home. The kitchen had all the necessities, the closets had linens and towels and there was enough fun activities around the place and inside to keep anyone entertained. The location was in a great area too. It felt like you were miles away from everything when in reality you were close to the beach and close to an active social atmosphere around the cities. We had great communication back and forth with anything that we may have needed and that is always welcomed I will be recommending this place to everyone I know, especially if they have children, because it was such a great experience. We are already planning our return trip just for the house.
