Positive: Incredible location! 🌱💚🌱 You are in the middle of a beautiful, huge garden - it's such an experience! Charaka was such a wonderful host to us, communicating everything so well and made us feel so welcome there right away. We were in s little garden chalet, with our own dining table and terrace from where we could observe the garden and it's beautiful birds and chipmunks. The decorations are beautiful too! Everything is natural fabrics mixed with traditional antiques and filtered spring water in our room. They really have an eye for detail and want it all to be as natural as possible. The bed is super comfy and everything is really clean overall. Outstanding was also the breakfast - delicious home made food (mostly sourced from their own garden - they even have rice fields!!). It was plenty and so rich in flavor . If we are in the area, we will definitely come back, it was so relaxing after our long travel.

Positive: This experience is unlike any other! In a beautiful Location just 1 hour away from Colombo International Airport. Incredibly relaxing garden hosted by the wonderful Charaka who is extremely friendly accomodating. And on top of that, you are served some of the most authentic Sri Lankan food you will find on the island. If you are looking for a place to escape and be immersed in traditional Sri Lankan culture then this it it!

Positive: The garden is beautiful and peaceful and nice to walk around and look at the birds. The owner has a nice story behind the garden. The room is clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. There are comfortable chairs to sit and relax in under cover.

Negative: The owner did tell us the dogs bark at night when the wild boar visit and we're usually okay with some noise but the dogs barked loudly for an hour at 2am and then again later in the night. The dinner is EXPENSIVE and average. We had a potato curry, a chicken curry, and red rice. It was fine but we have paid wayyy less than half the price across sri lanka (often 1000 or less p/p) and received way more varied and delicious rice and curry. Our room was £15 (6240 LKR). He charged is 13600 LKR which makes dinner for two 7360 LKR!!!! The owner said it was because it was fresh from his garden but we have eaten food from many people's gardens. Also, he had no chickens or potatoes growing - only the rice from his paddy fields. I did raise this with him and we ended up paying 12000 LKR total. Still way overpriced in my opinion. Unfortunately, breakfast was also not very good and very basic.

Positive: What an amazing place to recharge and spend a few days surrounded by nature and lovely people. The garden is quite a sight you'd never see elsewhere else, so many plants, flowers and birds all around you. The food also deservers a special mention, all locally sources and cooked with passion. Hope to come back and spend more time to fully embrace the tropical vibe this place is known for.

Positive: The whole concept of the property was great, eating organic meals made with fresh ingredients from the garden was a luxury and all cooked by auntie Malani. The host welcomes you with a drink which was such a nice touch, he is very welcoming and kind. I can really tell that he puts his all into this property that being making his guests his top priority. Not to mention the beautiful garden, with so many different varieties of plants, the sounds at night are so magical to fall asleep to. The property is rural but that what makes it so special, you really get a feel here for local life :) If you love nature, peace, amazing food, Sri Lankan culture and going to the less touristy places I highly recommend coming here :)
