Start your day with a cup of coffee sitting on the porch watching the birds at the feeder. We even provide the bird seed! Spend quality time with family or friends - the Red Rooster House is the perfect place for a slumber party! The open floor plan accommodates up to 4 people and offers a king size bed in an alcove created by bunk beds that are built into the wall. If your group is more than four people ask us about other cabins that might be available. Inside the Red Rooster House you will also find a fully equipped kitchenette with a full size stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker and coffee/tea service. Central air/heat will ensure that you are comfortable no matter what the temperature is outside, and a wood burning fireplace will provide a cozy, romantic atmosphere in the cooler months. A television with a DVD player and a DVD library is provided although there is no television reception. Summary: We had a wonderful stay. My son enjoyed playong outside. The bed is super comfy. This is one of the most welll stocked places Ive ever stayed in. Host was a quick communicator. Just 10 or so minutes away from Lost Maples Natural Area.

Summary: This house was just what we needed for our weekend trip to the river. The location is beautiful and the peace & quiet we felt when we sat outside on the hammock and porch swing was one of our favorite things! The house itself was clean and the perfect size for us. Easy check in/out. The only thing that was difficult for us was not having cell service at all but that’s to be expected. Other than that it was perfect!

Summary: We had the best time at the Red Rooster cabin. Perfect place to get away, watch an old movie, put together a puzzle and cozy up with a good book. We did venture out into nature most days…easy access to so much. The best hostess with the best ideas. We hope to be back soon.

Summary: My husband and I stayed here with our two young sons on a beautiful fall weekend. It was the perfect location - quiet and peaceful but within easy driving distance to Leakey and Lost Maples. Our boys especially loved the bunk beds, and we all loved the back patio and fire ring. This was our second time staying at one of the Lodges at Lost Maples, and we can't wait until our next trip here!

Summary: I got away with 3 of my best girlfriends this weekend to float the river. This cabin was perfect. It was clean, quiet, and just what we needed. We even had a small loaf of banana bread left for us. I would stay in this piece of mountain heaven again, for sure!
