Summary: Absolutely brilliant stay! 2 adults and a teen were incredibly comfortable. Very quick bus into Bath, the stop is very close to the Lorne House. Our host was attentive to our every need. We were personally welcomed at our late arrival time and made to feel at home. Sparkling clean in every room with luxury toiletries. Very comfortable beds and a quiet peaceful location. The town of Box is very charming. Several restaurants and a convenience store within walking distance. Excellent breakfast with a very good menu, fresh fruit, and proper English tea. We were happy, rested, and relaxed. Fun fact, this was the childhood home of Wilbert Awdry the creator of the the Thomas Train stories. We wished we could have stayed several more nights.

Summary: We reserved a superior triple room for 2 nights. There were only 2 of us, so when we arrived and were shown to a double room we didn't mind, so didn't mention it. The room and whole house was very clean, and the owners were very welcoming and friendly. We were visiting Badminton Horse Trials and had forgotten our printed tickets before leaving, so these were printed for us, which was great. The dining chairs felt unstable. We asked for tea with breakfast on the first day, but got coffee, the poached eggs were overdone, so the second day we opted for scrambled egg, which was delicious - as was the rest of the breakfast. Unfortunately, our room was not checked/cleaned whilst we were out on the first day, so we came back and our bin was still full, no clean mugs/glasses or teabags/loo roll so we had to go and rummage in the kitchen to find some old mugs, teabags and clean glasses, which wasn't ideal. I did mention it and the owner did apologise. The window in the bathroom doesn't quite close so that room felt quite cold, and as it is a fully tiled wet room (very nicely finished) it is quite cold anyway. Underfloor heating would have really finished off the lovely bathroom and added a more luxurious feel. The people here are lovely, the house is beautiful and the location is great. Just a bit disappointed this time.
