Positive: I really enjoyed my stay in Lo Rateng. Having the functional swimming pool was a pleasant surprise and lovely given the weather. And the pool was also well maintained and CLEAN. The cinema was really nice as well. I wish the selection of movies was larger for an even better time.

Positive: My stay at Lorateng' was nothing short of amazing. Set beautifully by the lake, the environment was peaceful, refreshing and exactly what I needed to unwind and reflect. Waking up to the serene lake views felt magical and made my birthday even more special. The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming, which made me feel celebrated and cared for throughout my stay. The room was spotless, elegant and incredibly comfortable. The pool area was relaxing and well-maintained and the cinema room was such a unique and delightful touch that elevated the whole experience. Everything was truly top-notch, from the ambiance to the service. It was the perfect blend of luxury, tranquility and thoughtful hospitality. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate myself. I’ll definitely be back and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable escape in the Lake region of our Magical Kenya.

Positive: This place truly exceeded every expectation! I stayed at this resort last month and had such an incredible experience that I didn’t even hesitate to book it again. This time, as a 2 night gift for my sister and her husband for their anniversary. They just returned and shared the exact same sentiments. That alone says everything. I was initially a bit skeptical because there were no reviews on Booking.com the first time I booked, but I didn’t regret my decision afterwards. I called the number listed on Booking.com to ask for directions, and to my surprise, one of the directors answered personally. From that first interaction, I knew we were in good hands. There was a small mix-up with our room (we had been placed in a standard unit instead of the presidential suite), but it was corrected immediately without hesitation. The level of professionalism and care was impressive. He kept checking in throughout our stay to ensure everything was perfect. Easily one of the best hosts I’ve encountered. The staff were amazing! warm, attentive, and accommodating. We arrived around 8 pm, and they kindly stayed past their working hours to receive us. That level of hospitality is rare. The chef deserves special praise as well. The fish we had on the first night was honestly restaurant-quality; fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Fish wasn’t available the following day, but the goat meat dish was equally delicious. One of my favorite features is the private movie theater on the property. Watching a film there before bed felt so cozy and unique. We also spent plenty of time at the pool, which feels incredibly private and peaceful. Most of the time, we had it all to ourselves. Kip, the pool attendant, was so friendly and thoughtful, even playing music on their portable speaker to elevate the vibe.
