Presenting this beautiful 40-acre estate available for your next vacation. The property includes an infinity pool, pond, and 7,000 square foot castle with breathtaking views of the Sierra Foothills.
OUTSIDE
Property includes a magnificent infinity pool, lush year-round pond, fenced oval horse track, boxing ring, sand volleyball court, built-in trampoline, and double-gated entry with a dramatic drive-up approach. The land we’re on is wild, so please be mindful of stickers, poison oak, and wild animals. Respect the earth!
For more than 18 guests we require special permits, insurance, and incur an additional fee depending on the size of the party and needs. Fees are determined on a case-by-case basis, please make sure to discuss any details with the host if considering holding a party for additional information rules and policies. We have a strict sound policy rule which will need to be agreed to before entry.

The parking lot for no more than 25 cars a shuttle is required. Please reach out directly for information regarding the shuttle service.
No signs or balloons allowed on the road or at the gate.
INSIDE
Property features remarkable craftsmanship with custom stone and limestone walls throughout. 6 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, Master suite with balcony private steam sauna room and large jacuzzi bathtub, full luxury kitchen two sinks and two refrigerators, two dishwashers, formal dining room, living room, Large game room in the basement, and grand staircase. Also, we are on satellite internet. We have no way of controlling speed or usage; we have the biggest fastest plan we can acquire in our area being so rural. Please download and upload movies/shows , games, and music before you get here so that normal usage will remain useable . The more people on devices the slower the internet gets :) emails and browsing should be just fine ;) We are also on a well, so please use water-wise practices. Thank you

Summary: Great property to convene 10-15 people in for birthdays and family gatherings. Hot tub was placed perfectly for truly staggering views over the valley towards Sacremento. Kitchen and utilities were perfect for the chef that came to cater for us. Host was excellent and very communicative - hot tub needed to be reset from service mode and we were connected to the pool maintenance tech within minutes and the issue was resolved within the hour. Excellent property, excellent service.

Summary: We returned to “The Castle House” for the second time. This time to celebrate our 50 year wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren. The grandchildren remembered this house from last year and were ready to enjoy the amazing pool and spa. This is a large house that easily accommodated our big family. There are plenty of nice towels for both bathing and swimming. And enough kitchenware for a large group. The basement ping pong table added a nice feature when escape from the sun was needed. The children also enjoyed the trampoline. The one suggestion for folks going during the hot summer months is is to bring plenty of ice. There is a chest freezer that can hold 60 pounds of ice. We stayed for five nights and used Costco and Safeway grocery delivery the first day as there is plenty of food storage capacity for a large group. The views from the backyard are even better than the photos. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. We are all still talking about the fun we had.

Summary: This property is massive and has some good amenities. The house had enough beds to sleep our party and the pool and hot tub are beautiful as well overlooking the valley. The kitchen and dining room are great for cooking and serving big meals. The listing states there is a beach volleyball court and boxing ring, but the volleyball court was overgrown and the net hadn't been maintained as well as the boxing ring wasn't really usable or safe to be in (not that we planned on using it) but it definitely lacked maintenance as well. Keep that in mind if you'll have young kids around. The house hard its quirks, but was charming and we spent a majority of our time on the beautiful patio in the sun and using the pool and hot tub. If you're able to split the cost with a big group it is worth it for sure.

Summary: Large family gathering and this Property made everybody happy! Great spaces throughout that allow you to interact with everyone at once, or be by yourself/small group at any time. Very comfortable and relaxed feeling from this property, and the pictures do not do justice to the warmth of the home. Jonathon was FANTASTIC as host, readily available, very nice and easy to work with, and responded quickly and professionally! Definitely looking at booking our return visit.

Summary: From the moment you drive up the winding country road and first lay eyes on this estate you know this is a special place. You truly feel like royalty when you open the door and see the grand staircase with a backdrop of a 500 mile view of the entire Sacramento valley below. The showstopper is the infinity edge pool that also has a grotto and a ledge for diving into the deep end. Everyone from the young and the old had a blast and couldn’t stop complimenting us on how great the vibe was at this property. We made memories that will last a life time here. Also there are so many great spots all over the estate to take amazing photographs! Don’t think twice if your on the fence of booking this location trust me you won’t regret it.

Summary: The house was plenty big enough for our family of 17. We love to cook together and the kitchen lended itself well to work together preparing food. The pool, hot tub, and patio area were the highlight for us. Many times we were all in the pool and we never felt crowded. Because of the drought we couldn't use the infinity feature, which couldn't be helped, but even without that, the pool is amazing! We would definitely consider renting this house again if we decide to gather in the area again. The property manager was amazing--we got very quick responses back from her whenever we had questions or a concern was raised. Beautiful view--we have some amazing photos out by the pool as the sun set. Would highly recommend this castle home!!

Summary: We stayed five days in celebration of m husband’s 70th birthday. The photos don’t really do justice to especially the backyard. Gorgeous! There were 20 of us in total. Eleven children and nine adults. The pools kept the children busy and having fun all day. The basement playroom is a perfect place to escape the sun on the afternoon. We enjoyed the cooking amenities, the large rooms, and the VIEW!!! The children ranged from 1-16 and there was fun to be had by all. The owner was quick to address any concerns. We are sorry to leave!
