Positive: I had a wonderful stay at the Bamboo Lodge. The room was clean and safe. It gave me a real sense of home—comfortable and cozy. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from a large supermarket and the beach, which made everything so convenient. Christelle truly made the experience special. She went above and beyond to make me feel at home, providing plenty of useful information and showing genuine care for my plans and safety. Her warm personality and the stories she shared added a personal touch that made my stay unforgettable. Therese also made nice breakfast and provide all kinds of help if you need anything. Highly recommend!

Positive: Bamboo lodge is a hidden gem. The property goes over and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The staff are very hospitable, warm and welcoming and will do anything within their reach to make your accommodation as comfortable as possible. The accommodation costs are also budget friendly. This is a very easy recommendation for me. I will definitely be back.

Positive: I booked Bamboo lodge at the last minute, without knowing what to expect and couldn't have got luckier. From the start, Christelle and her daughter Therese made my stay like a home from home. The property itself in Lome is very close to the airport and a short walk to the beach front, and easy to get to all the major places in the city I wanted to go to. The place itself was spacious and very secure. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean, roomy, and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was made by Therese on demand each morning and lovely. It’s much more than that though, after an initial question via Booking .com about airport transfers, Christelle enquired about my plans and if I needed any help. She ended up being basically a cross between a tour operator and your mum, suggesting places, advising on logistics and putting me in touch people who she personally would trust and recommend. Further more, when I came back from a trip up north, rather than go out and look for dinner, ate on her terrace at the family table, hearing fantastic stories of the places she’s lived and visited, and the history of the hotel. It really did feel like a family reunion and coming home to a long lost aunt. As a solo female traveller, this was just the icing on the cake. I can’t recommend this highly enough.

Positive: Loved the staff, the location, great breakfast, and the overall experience. The team at Bamboo Lodge went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. From organizing tours, to giving local advice, assisting me when an ATM ate my bank card, to being patient as I stumbled through my French. I greatly appreciated being welcomed into their family.

Negative: Had some hiccups with the internet while on conference calls.

Summary: Wonderful family location with a deep history of the city.

Positive: The property was very clean throughout. We had a comfortable night sleep. The staff were polite, pleasant and exceptional with some errands we needed to make. We had a normal breakfast which was tasty and some choices of beverages.

Negative: Can’t think of any as our stay was busy and short.
