Positive: The cabin was located near a beautiful lake and there were row boats and a kid's pedalo/pedal boat that we could use for free. The house was remote in the forest and not too near to the other cabins. The sauna had to be heated using a fire and so it was somewhat of an adventure. There was also a nice veranda where you could have meals. The Hiidenportti National Park is about 1 hour away.

Negative: The cabin itself was rather small, especially the living room area, with not much storage space. The kitchen only had 2 hot plates and it wasn't very well equipped. The shower was right next to the toilet without any walls and we couldn't master the Finnish skill of not getting the toilet paper wet.

Negative: There is no running water, that was in the description. But there was just 1 bucket of water for 2 persons.

Positive: The location is remote (that I was looking forward to) and accessible mostly by car. If someone wants to enjoy nature and the calmness, then this place is for you. Forest, lake, fish, birds, farmhouse, BBQ, peace, and many more.

Negative: The toilet entrance was through the downstairs bedroom, so it became inconvenient for others to use it at night. Of course, it should not be a problem if there is a couple. Besides, the upstairs temperature was too high, and the window could not be opened since the net was torn.

Summary: It was worth driving around 600 kms.

Positive: The location on the lake and in the forest is really nice. From the outside the cottage looks really great too. Everything is functional and was very clean. The beds and bathroom were very good.

Negative: The chimney is broken and the house smelled very strongly of Rus and smoke. The kitchen is really very old and should be renewed. We found €15 per night for our four-legged friend quite expensive.
