Positive: Beautiful location! There was a pair of eagles nesting nearby, it's very quiet and has a beautiful view. The place was clean.

Negative: The sulfur smell was almost unbearable. I have stayed in places that had similar issues, but this was over the top.

Positive: The location was perfect. Secluded, quiet and nestled in the forest. The views were spectacular and a great place to relax in the morning with coffee or evening sunset. It was rustic, quaint and exactly what we were looking for. There was wildlife watching in the ocean and deer wandering into the yard. We loved it!

Negative: There could be a bit of updating, but it was exactly as pictured in the photos, so this was accurate and no disappointment. We would for sure stay again and would be even more thrilled with couches that were a little more comfy, or other basic updates, but would it would not take away from our enjoyment if it was the same.

Summary: Stunning views, quiet location, and warm and cozy cabin. We would love to return someday!

Positive: The cabin interior was as pictured. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and private. Coffee pot, toaster, fridge, stove, microwave all worked, and the kitchenware/dishes were adequate. (No dish washer, but we knew that.) Dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, shampoo and small soaps were supplied.

Negative: (1) Location (for us): The location was not what we expected based on a couple of posted photos and a review from 2021. The cabin was on the waterfront, but there was no water access for our kayaks. It is a rocky climb down to a rocky shore. What looks like a ramp in one of the photos is a set of stairs; however, those stairs are not currently in use due to the "unstable cliff." If you don't need water access, this cabin could be right for you. (2) Communication: There were two keys in two separate lock boxes. We could only open one box and emailed both local managers about that but got no response. We started getting multiple messages at 8:30 on our last day telling us it was time to check out even though check out was at 10 AM. When we did try the on-line checkout, the link failed. At 10:47, we got a message telling us what we were required to do before checking out; but, of course, we were already out. Any such directions should be provided in the cabin. (3) Heating: Heating is via small wall heaters, one in the dining area and one in the bedroom. They are very noisy, so you won't leave them on at night. There was no wood for the wood-burning stove. (4) Blinds are flimsy and not room-darkening. The ones over the sliding door lower but don't close which is inconvenient if using the optional fold-down chair/bed in the living area (as we did). (5) Shower water was just barely hot enough.

Summary: Private and quiet cabin but NO water access
