Positive: Excellent food in restaurant. Good car parking.

Negative: Offhand attitude of staff from beginning to end. For example, in evening we were placed at a table against a wall in a corner position on our own when the airy, light and pleasant restaurant was almost unoccupied. When I politely requested a move to a vacant, unoccupied and unreserved table in the main restaurant, this was granted with reluctance. Thereafter, service was patronising at best! However, the food itself was extremely good and thoroughly enjoyable. Further, our motel style cabin smelled musty and damp when it was opened for us. It was small, cramped and poorly insulated. But it had efficient air - con and a small fridge which was a bonus. But a raised , circular tub on a stand is NOT a swimming pool! This hotel should not be advertised as having an open air swimming pool. Further, visitors should realise that this is not a classic , country style village Logis , but that the accommodation is in a separated motel cabins arrangement on the opposite side of the road from the main hotel and restaurant building.

Positive: Excellent food. The staff were very professional and friendly. Sheena, the receptionist on our arrival was particularly helpful.

Negative: The air-conditioning in the room kept changing and stopping. As it was a particularly hot climate, this was unhelpful.

Positive: The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. I was travelling by motorcycle back and the garage parking was an added bonus. The hotel is well located for travelling and I was able to easily make my ferry connection in Ouistreham without using the autoroutes.
