Positive: Everything was adequate. Not great, but good enough. Bit expensive for the overall stay. Breakfast was good, but again cost a little more than expected.

Negative: Would have been good to have flagged up that the restaurant was only open weekends.

Positive: Character building - a little quirky - which we liked. Huge room and bathroom. The food was great and both dinner and breakfast good-value. The staff Father and Daughter were very friendly and efficient. The property - a grand village house in lovely grounds faces from the rear onto the River Marne and from the front onto the main road passing through the village. Watch carefully for the sign and narrow turn in towards the rear parking area close to the river bank. We will certainly use this place again when driving south or north to Calais. Right in the middle of the Marne region champagne area and Champagne tourist route.

Positive: The property was beautiful, peaceful and serene. The room (we booked the two-bedroom suite) was spacious, full of light and comfortable. The man working there was welcoming, friendly and kind. Breakfast was also very good.

Negative: The pool could do with a cleaning, but it was fine for a quick swim. We also would have loved a fan in the room, there was a heavy duvet on the bed and it got warm in the room.

Positive: It was a pleasure to meet our host. Our room was such a delight and Chateau elegance! Huge bathroom with modern fixtures. Soft bathrobes and slippers were provided. Comfortable bedding. Breakfast was delicious , beautifully displayed, with many choices and even with warm rolls! Would highly recommend.
