Positive: Perfect location! As close to Redwoods National Park as you can get. The house is gorgeous with a lot of fun outdoor amenities. The kitchen is amazing and the house is stocked with beautiful new appliances. There was plenty of room and the house was perfectly clean. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed!

Positive: Very beautiful home with gorgeous scenery. Easy access to some of the major redwood sights. We loved it here! My daughter literally cried when it was time for us to leave.

Negative: Just stock up on food in Crescent City or Eureka. Not many restaurants are within 20 minutes and their hours are iffy. The grocery store in Orick is very old and limited and very very expensive, so just stock up and you'll be very comfortable. 👍

Positive: A beautiful and well equipped home. The kitchen had really any equipment that you could possibly need and basics such as oil, salt and pepper, and some spices were also on hand. The local Orick Market is very close and really a gem--they had pretty much anything that we needed. We enjoyed watching the elk in the valley beneath us (bring your binoculars)!

Negative: The lower floor of the house was chilly despite the central heating (we visited in early March). We used the woodfire stove and this kept the house toasty warm. It would have been helpful to have a few firestarters on hand. Also it was odd that despite the beautiful and huge closets, no hangers were provided.
