Summary: This is a very comfortable and spacious house adjacent to a working farm and sited a little off the usual beaten track. In no way should that be taken as a negative comment - the welcome from M. and Mme Chenu was warm and comprehensive and I have to say I was barely aware of the daily work of the farm - no extra noise or disturbance at all. We had a private garden with sunshine from early morning to late afternoon and a private drive for parking. The house is comforable and clean with all the expected amenities. The nearest town is Pithiviers, about 11Km south. It seems not to be on the UK tourist destination list, but so much the better for this. There is lots to do and see within a hour’s drive - Fontainebleau is a popular destination, but Briare and Gien and the arboretum near Chamerolles are all worth seeing, and Orléans was only 50 minutes by road. Definitely recommended!
