Positive: This place was charming and funky. Beautifully renovated. Easy to be comfortable, super helpful staff and located basically on the ski run. Food was terrific, the bar is handy and the people great.

Negative: Not enough time there.

Summary: This is the lodge we will be back to many times. Get a dinner there.

Positive: Our stay at the lodge exceeded all our expectations. From the moment you step in the doors, you can get a true sense of home as the space is so beautifully decorated and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Japanese-style tatami rooms also offered a truly authentic experience, and facilities were impeccably clean.

Negative: There were several nights where we were awoken by people moving around in the upstairs rooms or snowmobiles outside in the morning, which is not the fault of the lodge at all. They do provide ear plugs, which is very thoughtful.

Summary: Wonderful stay, great hosts! We will definitely return on our next trip to Tsugaike!

Positive: The lodge was welcoming, homely and warm. Our hosts were exceptional and so helpful with all our questions. They went above and beyond to assist us everyday. We absolutely will be back and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Positive: Very clean, modern but yet keeps that homey lodge feel. Great common areas and easy to access dry room, toilets, showers etc.

Negative: Not much heating and the heater in the room can only be turned on for 8 hours at a time so can get quite cold at night.
