Positive: The house is lovely, beautifully decorated and in nice village. Right next to local shops. The host responded very quickly to any questions. A very scenic loch walk right on the doorstep.

Negative: Really picky, but there was only one kitchen knife.

Positive: The location is fantastic, just a short 15-minute drive into Dumfries. The village itself has a selection of places to eat and drink if you’d prefer to stay local, and the house is conveniently situated right next to a shop where you can pick up any essentials you might need. We were all incredibly impressed with the house. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated to a very high standard. There were six of us, plus our dog, and we had plenty of space to relax and spread out. The property is surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. There’s also a lovely garden area at the back with beautiful views over the loch, which is only a two-minute walk from the house and easily accessible. It was perfect for taking the dog out and enjoying the scenery. Overall, this was fantastic value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful visit—we would happily return and recommend it to others.

Negative: The only small suggestion would be to provide a few basic kitchen essentials to help guests during their stay, such as bin bags, kitchen roll, tin foil and cling film. However, this wasn’t a major issue as the shop next door had everything we needed.

Positive: Great location for exploring Dumfries & Galloway area. Excellent property, spacious and extremely comfortable, everything you need for a great stay. Close to shops and town easy walking distance.

Negative: Minor annoyance noisy main road at times.
