Positive: The breakfast was very good, Nicolo made pancakes one morning then French toast the second and this was served with delicious jam made by his partner. The village was small, charming and rural as expected. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was fine, especially as we were the only guests staying at the time.

Negative: Maybe I didn't read the ad correctly but Locanda SottoBosco felt a lot more like staying in a (beautiful) family home than at a B and B. This has it's advantages; it was nice exchanging with Niccolo and trying to speak Italian with the kids but while I'm sure we could have sat in the lounge or garden as advertised, we didn't necessarily feel that comfortable doing so. That said, there are so many places to discover around that we never planned on spending much time at the house and we still had a lovely time.

Summary: A great opportunity to stay with a Sardinian family in the heart of the countryside.
