Positive: This accommodation is a gem. From the beginning until the end, Hiromi-san, her husband, and their sweet dog Coco were extremely hospitable, kind, and warm towards us. They had a genuine interest in making us feel welcome and at peace. The accommodation is extremely well located, very clean, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities that a traveler could require. Furthermore, Hiromi-san gave us many excellent suggestions on what to do in Takayama and even cooked us a full breakfast very early on our departure day, making sure that we ate something before we headed to our next destination.

Negative: We should have stayed more days!

Positive: Hiromi and family were so generous and welcoming. We loved our stay with them, their house was very comfortable and we loved their gorgeous dog coco, the local neighbourhood is great too. Staying with them was the highlight of our recent trip and we can’t wait to return.

Positive: Hiromi-san was the best host. She went out of her way to make our stay just perfect. We loved the tatami room and the traditional japanese breakfast she made for us each morning and are so grateful that she gave us a ride to and from the train station as well. Even weeks before our arrival, Hiromi was in close contact with us, patiently helping us arrange a rental car for our trip – with a level of care and kindness that is truly rare. She personally picked us up from the train station and brought us back at the end of our stay. When she found out we were on our honeymoon, she invited us to an exceptional local dinner – a true highlight we will never forget. But it didn’t stop there: she also surprised us with a cake and touching photos of our son together with her dog, Koko – a deeply moving gesture that brought us to tears. Hiromi is not only the kindest host we’ve ever met – she is simply one of the warmest and most caring people we’ve ever encountered. Her dedication and love are evident in every detail – the accommodation itself is thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained, far exceeding all expectations. Also with transport as and when required. The location of Live Takayama was perfect for exploration and within manageable walking distance of all we needed. Positive: Hiromi was the most amazing host ever - she went above and beyond in making us feel welcome - providing delicious food and tea. She helped with local recommendations and even reservations. The house was so clean and we were even provided with slippers and pajamas! The room was beautiful - traditional tatami flooring with a lovely calm vibe, also with air conditioning and very comfortable futons! We would recommend this stay to anyone for a traditional and cosy experience.
