Positive: Beautiful setting in a gorgeous, peaceful location. The barn was quirky and spacious with a pleasant veranda to sit out and enjoy the birds and butterflies. There is a swimming pool but we didn't get time to test it out. A great base to discover the surrounding areas. John is a wonderful, engaging host and you feel incredibly welcome. Thankyou John.

Positive: The Barn is in the most tranquil setting and was wonderful to start and end each day there. Rustic charm with lots of quirky details made a relaxing home from home with everything you would need. Lovely welcome from owner with lots of knowledge of the area. Was a great base for our visits to Chester, Ironbridge and across Snowdonia national park to Portmeirion but also the very pretty nearby towns and villages. Pool was a bonus on a hot sunny day. We did not want to leave.

Positive: Lovely location and the grounds were perfect for our family of four's hide 'n' seek games! A real effort has been made here for you to enjoy the outdoors with firepit, outdoor swimming pool and BBQ.

Negative: The barn could do with a deep clean, including all surfaces, rugs and oven. The double bed seriously creaks and could do with new pillows to influence a better sleep for guests. If this was actioned, the score would easily get to 9 out of 10.

Positive: Location was ideal, tucked away from the main towns but only a 10 minute drive to the nearest town for food etc. The host was very accommodating and any questions were answered really swiftly.

Negative: The WiFi was a little hit and miss, but there was plenty of DVDs for on an evening
