Positive: Location and access to garden .Facilities were good along with cleanliness of property. Appreciated and enjoyed bottle of wine.

Negative: two way switch light switch on stairs as downstairs bathroom . An illuminated mirror in bathroom would also help for applying make up and my husband shaving.

Summary: Lovely stay ,in a beautiful location with garden access.

Positive: The lodge was in a quiet location. The accommodation was clean and well presented. There was a separate patio area for guests with table and chairs. A BBQ was available. Unfortunately the weather precluded the use of these facilities.

Negative: The How To Find Us instructions were terrible. "Turn into Mill Road from the A143". How are you supposed to look for road name when travelling at 50mph. There are several roads to Pakenham from the A143 and although the lodge may be in Pakenham parish, it is at Grimstone End rather than Pakenham village which is why we had trouble getting directions to Mill Lane from there. There are signs on the A143 for "Watermill" which could have provided a better route to look out for providing they were not obscured by foliage as was the case with the road name on subsequent inspection. For a self-catering accommodation, there were no empty cupboards to store a weeks' shopping and no dishwasher although the guest instruction was to empty the D/W before leaving! The was no 2-way light switch for the stairs when going down to the facilities in the dark. There was a private access but we were not welcomed by our hosts whom we didn't see all week.

Summary: A quiet location for a couple of days' break but with some shortcomings.
